MEI United, Inc. is celebrating our tenth year of business working in the People's Republic of China. Since we have increased our sphere of business, we want to reflect these new changes, and have decided to changed our English name to Meliore International, LLC.

When MEI was established in 1992, it was a time when most of the medical equipment sold into China was sold through large foreign distributors who managed many products and covered the entire county. Observing the market trends towards product specialization, MEI created a company with a focus on the cardiology field. Our timing, strategy, and hard work, allowed MEI to grow into one of the top national distributors in the Chinese cardiology market. After ten years, MEI has sold over $40 million into the Chinese market and has four offices in China- Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang and Guang Zhou.

In the early 1990's, the Chinese market was characterized as a market with large potential and limited cash resources to reach this potential. As a young company competing with large multinationals with far greater resources, we were required to find alternative strategies to effectively compete. In 1994 MEI created the format for a government sponsored loan project to actualize this market potential. Working with the Ministry of Health, The Ministry of Foreign Economic Trade and Corporation, the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of China, the Israeli Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Israeli Foreign Trade Risk Insurance Corporation, MEI developed the first government loan project between Israel and China. The format created by MEI was later successfully used to implement the US government sponsored loans to China.

In the late 1990's, realizing the market forces were in the midst of significant changes, MEI changed our strategy and focus from a direct sales company to a distribution management company. Hence, over the last ten years, MEI has developed extensive and diverse hands on experience in the Chinese market. With China's entry into the WTO, there has been a significant increase in foreign corporations desire to enter the Chinese market and Chinese corporations to enter the foreign markets. With our multinational and multicultural experiences, the partners of MEI United, Inc. have decided to create a new company name and image to celebrate our tenth year and our new corporate focus- Meliore International, LLC.
